In return for a scholarship, the awarded athlete must assist with one or more of the following tasks, subject to review by the KIRA board and in conjunction with the financial value of the scholarship:

1. Assist with set up at registration
2. Assist with registration
3. Assist with breakdown after the race
4. Assist with serving lunch
5. Assist with distributing awards
6. Assist with other functions behind the scenes (not race day)
