Long course: 8.5 miles, Hawaii Kai to Kaimana
Short Course: same
9:30 a.m. start for SUP and Prone. 10:00 start for “long” course and 10:05 start for “short”
Maui Jim Waterman’s Series #2 (for SUP)
Kialoa Competition: OC-1 or V-1: 57 + Male and Female
Pre-registration: If you haven’t purchased the season package, cost is $38.00 ($18.00 for Juniors 18 and under) online at www.flpregister.com until THURSDAY midnight Jan. 16.
Late registration on race day: $45.00
Race day check in at Hawaii Kai: 7:00AM–9:00AM
NEW INSURANCE PROGRAM: Every paddler is encouraged to “join” the ACA (American Canoe Association). The cost is $25.00 for the 2020 year and it covers your insurance for all KIRA events, and any other ACA insured event in the nation. Go to https://www.americancanoe.org/general/register_member_type.asp and choose “COMPETITION INDIVIDUAL” to effect your 2020 membership today. Otherwise it will cost $5.00 each race in addition to entry fees.
Race anything you want, but if you can do standing up, this is the day to do it!
$650.00 Purse for SUP. 1st – 3rd male and female, plus hotspot bonus at the Bliker “buoy”
