Waterman’s Series #1 (for Prone paddleboards). Short course

Race anything you want, but if you have a Prone Paddleboard and want to line up with it, this is the day to bust it out!

Cost: $8.00 per race.

Details:
The “race” will happen if there is not a high surf advisory or warning on the eastern shore. If the surf is up, we may elect to change the venue or cancel the “race” entirely. There is no liability, but we don’t want to encourage paddlers to go out when it is not safe.

Long course: Start your watch or GPS device at the end of the breakwater off Makai Pier, round Rabbit island counter clockwise, stay outside of the Mokulua Islands and Flat Island. Stop your device when you round the inside of Flat Island and can see the surf break on the Lanikai side of Flat.

Short Course: Start your watch or GPS device just offshore from the bathrooms on the Makapu’u side of the park, near the canoe halau. The race is a straight shot to the backside of Flat Island. Round Flat Island counter clockwise and stop your device when you round the inside of Flat Island and can see the surf break on the Lanikai side of Flat.

Make sure you have a witness. But keep in mind, most people will start at 10:00 a.m. sharp! So if you want to line up…
After you race, register online at www.flpregister.com before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday the 10th.

Worldwide: GPS your 5-mile course and register online at www.flpregister.com.

Submit your GPS data if you have it at #KIRA2021#1 for Instagram and @kanakaikaika on Facebook.

KIRA will track the Poai Puni Series results and the Waterman series results for registered paddlers.
