Hinano Po'ai Puni year end awards will be awarded in each of the categories listed below.

Points will be awarded based on your place on the overall results list (regardless of vessel type or gender).
Each race will be worth a minimum of 100 points to the overall winner, 99 points to second and so forth.  If more than 100 participants finish a race, for example 120 finishers, then first place overall will receive 120 points, second 119 points and so forth (for that race).

Two lists (one for long course and one for short course) will be updated after each race to show your current PO'AI PUNI points earned for each race, your total, and your overall ranking.  If you do long and short courses or race different vessel types you will be listed in more than one place on the lists.  Please spell your name the same way on the entry form for each race.  This will help us assign your points properly.
Your best scoring five out of six races (in one category) will be used to determine your final 2010 PO'AI PUNI CHAMPIONSHIP points total and ranking.
Final awards will be given on overall placement (not age group) for male and female OC1, OC2, Surfski, and Standup.  They will be presented at the 2010 Kanaka Ikaika State Championship awards ceremony.
Adjustments to the PO'AI PUNI Points System can be made at any time at the discretion of Kanaka Ikaika Racing Association.
